FAQs
Clearlift Laser Treatment
ClearLift technology works by gently resurfacing the skin with virtually no pain and no downtime. It helps reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles. It is safe to use on delicate areas across the entire face. Most lasers are not indicated for use around the eyes. However, ClearLift can treat almost all areas of the face, including the lower eyelids, nasal folds, marionette lines, the neck, and even the hands! ClearLift slowly remodels the skin over the course of several weeks with recommended 4 to 6 treatments.
ClearLift light technology goes into the deeper subcutaneous tissue (about 3mm deep) to stimulate the growth of new collagen without affecting the epidermis. That means that all the work is going on underneath, deep inside the skin, without any side effects. ClearLift remodels the collagen that helps the skin build more support in the dermal structures. The energy is delivered with a 4D tip that controls the depth of the laser into the skin
A course of six treatments is generally recommended, once every 2-4 weeks. During your initial consultation with our laser specialist, she will tailor a bespoke treatment plan for you.
ClearLift™ is virtually painless with no downtime. No recovery time needed but redness, swelling and heat rash may occur immediately after treatment and pigmentation can darken.
Before treatment:
– Avoid the sun 4-6 weeks before and after treatment. This also includes sun beds.
– The use of tanning cream must be discontinued 1 week before treatment.
– Do not use any harsh products on the skin 48hours prior to treatment (Glycolic/Retinol or acid-based products).
After treatment:
– Avoid sun exposure & use sunscreen SPF 50 at all times throughout the course of treatment.
– Avoid hot baths and heat treatments and treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.
Each individual patient’s results will be different. After six to twelve months from your initial course, a top-up treatment is advised. Lifestyle can have a huge effect on how long results will last.
Prior to treatment, a consultation is carried out during which a medical history questionnaire needs to be completed to confirm suitability for treatment. Our laser specialist is required to do a small patch test on the area to be treated 24 hours prior to your first session. As long as no adverse reactions take place, then treatment can go ahead.
