Purchases or quote-requests

We may collect your name, title, postal address, email address, telephone, mobile number, order history, payment history, payment information, and other Personal Data you voluntarily provide to us.

We process Personal Data to provide you with our products or services that you request from us, including sending you quotes, or products you have purchased or samples that you have requested.

We may process this information on the following basis:

  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
  • Fulfil our legal and regulatory obligations such as preventing, investigating and detecting crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and prosecuting offenders, including working with law enforcement agencies  ensuring the health, safety and protection of our staff and complying with GDP.
  • Exercise tasks under our legitimate interests such as to:
    • enforce our terms and conditions, notably conditions of returns, refunds and payments;
    • handing customer contacts, queries and complaints or disputes;
    • to protect our operations or those of any of our group companies;
    • to protect our rights, privacy, safety of property, and that of our group companies, you or others; and
    • to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit our damages.
  • Your consent in relation to marketing; to deliver relevant on-line advertising to you; to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of our site about goods or services that may interest you or them.

We will keep your Personal Data as long as you keep purchasing items from us. We will keep details of the transaction as long as we are legally required, which can be up to seven years.

We store your Personal Data securely on site or securely archived off-site in the UK. Some data may also be stored by our IT providers and payment processors who may be based outside of the EEA. Our Website hosts are based in the EU or have equivalency to EU data protection under the Shield certification.

We may share your Personal Data with any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006. Where our group members are not based in the EEA we will ensure that any transferred data is treated in a manner commensurate with EU data protection laws. In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. If My Skin Ethics Ltd or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, Personal Data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

We may also share your Personal Data with our service providers, such as IT systems, support and hosting service providers. Our Website is hosted by GoDaddy which maintains equivalency to EU data protection under the Shield certification. We may also share this information with third parties if required to do so by law. We do not sell, share or rent the information to third parties.

IP Address

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your Personal Data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your Personal Data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
